Larisa Biologi is a national journal that aims to bridge the gap between research and practice, providing information, ideas and opinions, as well as critical examination of the progress of research, teaching, learning in biology and biological sciences. Through coverage of policy and curriculum development, the latest research results in the teaching and development of Pure Biology. Larisa Biologi accepts and publishes articles in the form of research and reviews (scientific articles) in the field of Biology, biology education and the use of biological research in the teaching and learning process, so that they can become a source of scientific information that can contribute to overcoming educational problems, especially biology which are increasingly complex. All articles are published in Indonesian and English, however, we recommend in English. All articles undergo a peer-review process. Journal article type looks for full original research papers, reviews, and scholarly feedback (brief communications) on previously published material. The focus and scope of Larisa Biologi is divided into 2, namely Biology and Biology Education.

1. Biology that addresses all aspects of plant, animal and microbial biodiversity at the levels of genes, species, ecosystems, physiology and metabolism, molecular biology, biotechnology, genetics, bioinformatics, cell biology and development, microbiology, ecology and bioconservation.

2. Biology education includes: teaching and learning materials for biology at all levels of education; Pure Biology Research is developed or studied on Biology learning resources, materials, or media (using the Research and Development/R&D paradigm); Biology Education Curriculum at all levels of education; Pseudo-experiments, Classroom Action Research (CAR), and Lesson Study in Biology learning; Other Biology Education Qualitative Research; Evaluation/Assessment of Biology Learning; Issues/Trends of Teacher Profession in Biology Education; environmental education
