Focus and Scope

Larisa Bahasa Indonesia strives to publish a balanced mix of high-quality theoretical or empirical research articles, case studies, review papers, comparative studies, and exploratory papers. Larisa Bahasa Indonesia provides a place for Indonesian language researchers and practitioners to discuss. There should be critical discussion of new and significant issues and contributions related to the humanities including the study of all languages and literature, culture, humanities, arts, history, and philosophy. Larisa Bahasa Indonesia aims to explore elements of Indonesian culture and society through the publication of research findings and scientific innovations that are practically relevant for the preservation of local culture and the development of Indonesian language education. Larisa Bahasa Indonesia accepts articles in Indonesian and English, however preferably in English. The focus of Larisa Bahasa Indonesia is divided into 2 parts, namely:

1. Pure Indonesian includes Culture (a unique study of classical, traditional performing arts and culture from various regions in Indonesia, and modern cultural arts such as dance, fine arts, and music arts which also includes studies of Indonesian literature on issues of classical and contemporary literature ); Media (Cultural and media studies, New Media and Contemporary Society); Gender (Urban Culture, Gender Bias and Gender Inequality); Environment (traditional, social and environmental, land use and natural resources); Disaster (local wisdom and socio-culture, disaster management, community empowerment, survival and humanity, disaster and social emergency response organizations); linguistics (form, function, development and evolution of language used by humans, including discourse analysis, translation studies, forensic linguistics, and other linguistic-related studies); literature (the study of written works of the imagination, of which poetry, drama, and narrative fiction are the best known types or genres today); history (chronological, such as local history, social history, cultural history, economic history, political history, military history, intellectual history, environmental history, and other historical studies).

2. Indonesian language education includes the process of teaching and learning Indonesian; ICT in Indonesian language education; assessment and evaluation of Indonesian language education; creativity and innovation in teaching and learning Indonesian; psychology in Indonesian language education; audiovisual media (educational aspects of Indonesian); and Classroom Action Research.
