Abstract

Early childhood education in Indonesia, especially in rural areas such as Tanjung Village, Pademawu Sub-district, Pamekasan Regency, faces significant challenges related to the quality of education. This article documents the implementation of a Community Service Program (PKM) aimed at improving the professionalism of kindergarten teachers in Tanjung Village through a local needs-based approach.  The program was implemented from 12 May 2024 to 28 June 2024, with the main focus on pedagogical skills training and creative learning material development. Through this approach, the program aims to improve the quality of teaching that is more relevant and effective according to the cultural context and needs of the Tanjung Village community. The program evaluation results showed positive changes in the teaching practices of the kindergarten teachers, including the use of learning methods that are more interactive and responsive to the individual needs of students. Feedback from participants showed good acceptance of the new approach, with increased confidence in presenting interesting and meaningful learning materials. The long-term impact of this program is expected to improve the overall quality of education in Tanjung Village, not only in academic aspects but also in the development of children's social and emotional skills. In addition, the success of this program has positive implications for the development of education policy.
