STRENGTHENING HUMAN RESOURCE CAPACITY IN JARIN VILLAGE: STRATEGY AND IMPLEMENTATION

Jarin Village, Pademawu Sub-district, Pamekasan Regency, has great potential but has not been optimized in the development of Human Resources (HR). Limited skills and knowledge of villagers are the main obstacles in utilizing local potential for sustainable development. Purpose of Service: This program aims to improve the human resource capacity of the Jarin Village community through a participatory and collaborative approach. The program is expected to improve technical and non-technical skills, as well as strengthen community independence and confidence in utilizing local potential. A participatory and collaborative approach was applied in this program, involving the community, village officials, and experts. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews, then analyzed qualitatively to assess the effectiveness of the program and its impact on improving human resource capacity. The program successfully improved the knowledge and skills of Jarin villagers, especially in the areas of entrepreneurship, natural resource management, and leadership. Active participation and support from various stakeholders were the main supporting factors for the success of the program, although there were obstacles such as limited resources. This community service program succeeded in achieving its goal of increasing the capacity of human resources in Jarin Village. For sustainability, it is recommended to expand the scope of activities, involve more experts, and strengthen coordination between stakeholders.
